Budget Decks for Singapore Open 2024

Posted by VNGrinder about 1 month ago

Hey guys! With the Singapore Open coming up, I’m looking to build a competitive deck without breaking the bank. Anyone got tips for budget brewing? I usually shop at Games Haven, but I also heard Grey Ogre Games has some good budget cards. What are the best budget-friendly cards in the current meta? I saw some players using low-cost aggro decks. Also, how's the meta looking in Singapore? Anyone else planning to join the event?

Yo bro! I also think aggro is the way to go, especially with cheap cards like Thraben Inspector and Adanto Vanguard. They can really put pressure on your opponent. If you check Flagship Games, sometimes they have sales on older sets, can find some hidden gems there. For the meta, I feel like a lot of people are still playing control, so maybe a budget Burn deck could catch them off guard. Just my two cents lah!

Eh, I agree with you! If you can find some card draw on a budget, that’s solid too. Cards like Altar of Dementia can help you mill opponents while being cheap. Plus, Malaysia Championships coming up, so we can test our decks there as well! By the way, you guys think it’s gonna rain during the Singapore Open? Last time it was such a hassle with the rain. Anyway, let’s meet up at Games Haven for a deck-building session soon!

Wah, all these budget discussions are making me excited! I think combo decks can work too, especially using cards like Lotus Petal and Rituals that are still affordable. If you make it to the Indonesia Open, definitely try to test your deck against the meta there, it’s quite different! Also, I love how our local community is so supportive. Let’s keep sharing our ideas here lah, maybe we can build something great together!
