Show Off Your Altered Cards!

Posted by PenangPro 10 days ago

Hey fellow planeswalkers! I just wanted to start a thread where we can showcase our altered cards and custom arts. I recently got an alter done for my favorite Snapcaster Mage, and it looks absolutely amazing! Shoutout to the artist from Games Haven who did it for me. Anyone else got some cool alters? I think it’d be nice to see what the community is creating. Plus, with events like the Singapore Open coming up, it’s a good time to show off our bling. Let’s see those arts!

Wah, that Snapcaster must look bomb! I got a custom alter for my Nicol Bolas from this artist at Grey Ogre Games. She used some local themes, really fit the vibe here lah. I think altered cards really make your deck stand out, especially in tournaments like the Malaysia Championships. Anyone else got alters that reflect local culture ah?

Nice one! I did an alter for my Tarmogoyf with a jungle theme, mixed in some of Indonesia’s tropical vibes. Perfect for the weather here, right? Haha! I brought it to our weekly game at Flagship Games, and my friends were super impressed. Definitely helps with the meta too, makes players look twice! Who else got altered cards to share?

I love seeing all these alters! I painted my Llanowar Elves in traditional batik style, really showcases our local culture. Got a good response during our regular meetups in JB. Prices here can be a bit steep for alterations though, around SGD 50 for decent work. But it’s worth it, especially for big events like the Indonesia Open! Keep the arts coming, guys!

Hey there! Loving the creativity in this thread! I recently got an alter on my Akroma, Angel of Wrath, with a stunning sunset backdrop that really pops. The artist from Mages’ Guild did an incredible job! It’s such a conversation starter when I bring it to our meetups at Game Haven in Orchard. Just the other day, during our casual games, my friends couldn’t stop admiring it! And you’re right, with events like the Singapore Open around the corner, it’s the perfect time to showcase our unique pieces. I’ve been thinking about trying out some local artists for my other cards too. Anyone got recommendations? Let’s keep sharing our awesome alters, guys!

Hey everyone! I absolutely love this thread! Altered cards really bring a personal touch to our decks. I recently had a custom alter done for my Tarmogoyf with a vibrant jungle theme that really reminds me of the lush landscapes we have around here. The artist from The Magic Shop in Orchard did a fantastic job, and I can't wait to show it off at the upcoming Singapore Open! I've been playing in this humidity, and having unique cards makes it all the more enjoyable. Plus, it sparks so many conversations with fellow players during our casual meetups at the local kopitiam! For those looking for artists, I highly recommend checking out the ones at Game Haven; they’ve done some amazing work for my friends too! Let’s keep sharing our awesome alters, and I’m excited to see more creativity from our SEA community!
