Show Us Your Cool Card Alters!

Posted by about 2 months ago

Hey fellow Magic enthusiasts! I’ve been really into card alters lately and thought it’d be fun to share and showcase our artworks. I’ve done a custom art on my favorite Teferi card, got some inspiration from the local street art in KL. You know, the stuff you see around Bukit Bintang? Anyway, how about you guys? Anyone else here dabbling in card alterations? Let’s see those creative juices flow! Also, I heard Games Haven is hosting a casual night this Friday, maybe we can show off our alters there too!

Wah, that sounds solid! I did a foil alter on my Tarmogoyf, trying to give it that Malaysia vibe with colors from our flag. Really adds a personal touch, you know? By the way, did you guys catch the Singapore Open? I felt the meta shift a bit, more control decks popping up. Perfect time to showcase our altered cards there, I say!

Alters are super fun, man! I did a couple of alters for my playgroup over at Grey Ogre Games. We sometimes meet there for our weekend sessions. I’m trying to incorporate some elements from local culture, like batik patterns into my Forest lands. Also, can’t forget about the Indonesia Open coming up! Might even bring my altered cards there for some friendly trades. Anyone else going?

Nice to see so many creative folks here! I’ve been working on some alters inspired by the wet markets here in SG, got that fresh, vibrant feel. I’m planning to enter the Malaysia Championships next month, hope to bring some of my altered cards as well! Gotta make that impression, right? Plus, it’s a good conversation starter! How’s the weather treating you guys? Perfect for some outdoor games, don’t you think?

Hey there! Loving the enthusiasm for card alters in this thread! I’ve been doing some alters too, mostly on my favorite creatures from the Theros set, trying to give them a bit of a local twist. I used some bright colors inspired by the street markets in Penang; you know how lively those can get! I also plan to head to the casual night at Games Haven this Friday, and I'm really excited to see everyone’s artworks. It’s a great chance to swap some ideas and maybe even trade a few cards. The local meta is getting pretty interesting with all the new sets coming out, so I’m curious to see how our alters can fit into the decks. Keep those creative juices flowing, everyone! Can’t wait to see what you all have done!
