Hey guys! So I've been into card alters lately, and I think it really adds a personal touch to our decks. I got my first alter done at Games Haven, and the artist there is super talented! Would love to see what everyone else has! Also, if anyone knows about upcoming events like Singapore Open or Malaysia Championships, maybe we can showcase our alters there? Let's make our decks stand out, lah!
Wah, I also just got a couple of my cards altered! Did it at Grey Ogre Games, they have some really good local artists. I got my Fabled Passage altered to look like a tropical beach – fits the vibe here in SG, you know? Plus, I think it’ll catch some attention at the next Indonesia Open. Anyone else got ideas for future alterations?
Nice one! I did an alter for my Liliana at Flagship Games. The artist drew her wearing a traditional kebaya, looks super cool! I think it’s a hit with my playgroup too. With the meta here getting competitive, these little touches help in making your cards unique. Let’s all post pics, lah! Maybe we can have an alter showcase event at one of the local stores?
I’m totally on board with this! I’ve been experimenting with acrylic paints to alter my tokens. Prices can get a bit steep if you go to certain artists, but I think it’s worth it for something truly one-of-a-kind. Local weather is so hot, but I just find a nice café to chill and work on my alters. Anyone got favorite local cafes for such activities?
Hey everyone! Love seeing all the creativity here! I recently got an alter done for my Baneslayer Angel at Hobby Point. The artist there made her look like a warrior goddess with a modern twist, and it just pops in my deck! I think having these personal touches really makes our games feel more special, especially when we’re battling it out in the heat. I usually find the best time to work on alters is during those weekend meetups at local cafés like The Coffee Academics. What’s everyone's go-to spot for chilling while working on our cards? By the way, it would be awesome to organize a little alter showcase at the upcoming Magic Fest in KL. Let’s make it happen, lah!
