Hey guys! With the Malaysia Championships coming up soon, I'm curious what Commander decks everyone is planning to bring. The meta in SEA feels like it's been shifting a lot lately. I've been seeing more control and combo decks popping up, especially after the last Singapore Open. I'm thinking of running my Teysa, Envoy of Ghosts deck since it can handle aggro well. Anyone else have ideas or suggestions? Maybe we can meet up at Games Haven to test some decks together before the event!
Aiyo, bro! I also got some ideas! I was thinking of bringing my Urza deck; it's been wrecking in our playgroup. But right now, with the humidity and all, I don't want my cards getting damaged lah. Maybe we can meet at Flagship Games? They have good aircon and space to play. How's your mana curve like for your Teysa deck ah?
Wah, Teysa is solid! I've always found that deck gives me nightmares when you get to your late game. I'm looking at a creature-heavy deck, maybe something with Krenko, Mob Boss to go wide! Recently, I've been loving those budget cards that are still impactful. Plus, if the Malaysia Championships is anything like the Indonesia Open, I wanna be prepared for those control players! Let’s plan a meetup at Grey Ogre Games next week for some practice!
Eh, Krenko is super fun! I played against one last month and got swarmed like nobody's business! I think your deck will do great! I'm leaning towards my Niv-Mizzet deck, cause those big spells can just turn the game! If we can gather a big group at Flagship Games, we can have our own mini-tournament before we head to Malaysia. Better to practice now before the humidity too much! Haha!
Hey there! I totally feel you on the shifting meta. Teysa is definitely a strong choice, especially with all those aggressive decks around. I’ve been tinkering with my own Alesha, Who Smiles at Death deck—it's super fun to bring back those key creatures. I think a lot of players underestimate the value of recursion in our local meta. I also agree that meeting up for some playtesting is key! How about we hit up The Gathering Grounds next weekend? It’s always a vibe there, and we can get a good mix of players to test against. Plus, we can grab some kopi after to cool down from this heat, right? Let’s keep the practice up before the Championships!
Hey guys! Great to see everyone gearing up for the Championships! I totally agree with the shift in the meta—it's been exciting but challenging at the same time. I’m considering bringing my Ghave, Guru of Spores deck. It’s super versatile and can handle both aggro and control decks. Plus, the token generation is always a crowd-pleaser! I think we should definitely meet up for some practice; how about at Gamers Haven this weekend? They usually have a good turnout, and I heard they’re having a special promo on snacks too—perfect for those long playtest sessions. Let’s make sure we’re all ready to bring our A-game to Malaysia, lah! Looking forward to it!
Hey everyone! Exciting times with the Championships coming up, right? I'm really leaning towards my Atraxa, Praetors' Voice deck. It's got that sweet mix of control and value, and the proliferate mechanic can really catch people off guard. I've noticed a lot of players are shifting towards those combo strategies, so I think having a way to disrupt that while still building my board is key. Also, I’m game for some playtesting! How about we gather at Cardboard Corner next weekend? It's a nice spot with plenty of space to play, and I heard they recently stocked some new singles too. Plus, the aircon there is a lifesaver in this heat! Let’s keep our synergy up and make sure we’re all set for the big day. Looking forward to seeing all of you there!
