Hey everyone! With the Singapore Open coming up soon, I’m thinking about what Commander deck to bring. I want something that's both fun and competitive, you know? Any suggestions on good commanders that can handle the local meta? I’ve been hearing a lot about Atraxa and Korvold lately, but not sure if that's the way to go. Also, anyone planning to meetup at Games Haven to test their decks? Let’s get some games in before the event!
Yo! I think Atraxa is solid, especially with all the counters and stuff. But if you wanna surprise people, maybe go with something like Muldrotha? You can recycle your spells and keep the value coming. Last time I played it at Flagship Games, it was a blast! Who else is going to the Singapore Open ah?
Wah, Muldrotha sounds fun! But don’t sleep on Korvold, man. The card draw is insane, and you can ramp like crazy if you get some good food tokens. Last week at Grey Ogre Games, I saw a guy using it to generate a ton of value, and it was quite scary! Btw, let’s gather a group at Games Haven next weekend? I think we can help each other fine-tune our decks. Weather is so hot, but good vibes lah!
Aiyo, I agree with you both! Atraxa is popular but can be quite predictable. How about trying out some less common commanders? Like, have you guys considered using Ghalta? Can finish games quick if you ramp properly. I think with the way our meta is, we need to catch people off-guard. Plus, the value you get from ramping in SEA is pretty solid, especially with the prices of those cards nowadays, right? Let’s meet up and brainstorm more strategies!
