Hey everyone! Just wondering where's the best place to play MTG in Singapore? I usually go to Games Haven at Bugis 'cause they have nice tables and a chill atmosphere. Plus, I heard they’re hosting some events for the Singapore Open soon. Anyone been there recently? Also, how's the meta looking? I've been trying to adjust my deck for those aggro decks running around. Share your experiences leh!
I feel you! Games Haven is nice, but I also like Grey Ogre Games at Toa Payoh. They have a great selection of singles and the crowd is super friendly. Plus, they host regular FNM which is perfect for testing my decks. I’ve been tweaking my control deck for the meta too; with all the aggro and midrange decks, it’s quite challenging! Anyone else going to the Singapore Open this year?
Aiyo, don’t forget about Flagship Games! They’ve got a nice community and the shop owner is very helpful. I’ve been playing there for the Malaysia Championships and it’s been a blast! The locals are really supportive and you can learn a lot. The price of cards is quite reasonable too, can find good deals if you look carefully. By the way, the weather has been so hot recently, makes me just wanna stay indoors and play MTG all day!
Hey there! I totally get what you mean about Games Haven, it really has that chill vibe! I also love hanging out at The Arena at Somerset; they've got a great setup and the aircon is a lifesaver in this heat! I've been playing there a lot for their weekly events, and their community is super welcoming. As for the meta, I've noticed a lot of aggro decks too, especially since the new set dropped. I’m tweaking my midrange deck to handle those speedy attackers. Just last week, I faced a crazy mono-red aggro that had me sweating! If you're looking for a good place to test your deck before the Singapore Open, I recommend joining one of their Friday night magic sessions. Let’s keep supporting our local shops and players, yeah? Hope to see you at the events!
