Hey everyone! Just wanted to ask, which local game stores you guys frequent for Magic? I usually go to Games Haven in Singapore because the vibe is chill and they have weekly drafts. Plus, I heard they’re hosting some tournaments leading up to the Singapore Open, which I’m super excited for! Anyone been to Grey Ogre Games or Flagship Games? What’s the meta like there? Seems like aggro is making a comeback in our region, right? Anyway, let’s share our favorite spots and any upcoming events!
I also love Games Haven! The staff are super friendly and always willing to help new players. Grey Ogre Games has a good selection as well, but I feel it’s more competitive. Last month, I joined a Malaysia Championships qualifier there, and wow, the level of play was intense! Heard aggro is strong now, but I think control decks might surprise everyone, just like our unpredictable weather here, haha!
Flagship Games is my go-to! They have a great community and always have something happening, whether it's casual or competitive. I went for their Friday Night Magic last week, and the turnout was really good. The meta is shifting a lot—lots of people playing midrange decks lately. Maybe it's the heat getting to our heads? But for real, the local scene is thriving and it's nice to see new players joining us!

I’m also a regular at Games Haven, and I agree that the atmosphere is just perfect for casual hangouts and competitive games alike. I’ve had some awesome times there, especially during the draft nights. The excitement before a tournament is palpable! I haven’t been to Grey Ogre Games yet, but I’ve heard they’re quite popular for their unique events. I’m keen to check out their draft event as well, sounds like a blast!
