Eh, guys! I'm looking for the best places to play MTG in Singapore. I usually hang out at Games Haven but heard Grey Ogre Games has some sick events coming up. Anyone know if they have better draft nights or bigger tournaments? I'm keen to join the Singapore Open coming up, need to practice la. Plus, with the weather so hot, it's nice to chill indoors with some good cards. What's the meta like now? Any good decks to try for the championships?
Yo! If you're into competitive play, Grey Ogre Games got some good vibes and solid crowd. I was there last week, they hosted a Modern event, quite fun! Also, you can find a lot of players sharing tips on the latest meta for the Malaysia Championships. I tink the price is decent too, around SGD 15 for entry, and got some nice prizes. But Games Haven still got the best snacks lah! Haha, can't resist their kopi while I play.
Aiyoh, Games Haven is good for casual play but if you want to try something new, Flagship Games has been having some interesting commander nights lately. Met some cool players there too, and they always have a welcoming community. The last time I went, they had a special promo for new players, only SGD 10 for a starter deck! Plus, the air-con is super shiok, perfect for this hot weather we have now.
I totally agree with you both! But don't forget about the online communities as well, they sometimes organize meetups in places like Orchard. It's a good mix of competitive and casual. I heard some players from Indonesia are coming over for the Indonesia Open, should be quite exciting! Just be prepared la, the meta is shifting with all the new sets dropping.
