Best LGS to Play MTG in Singapore?

Posted by 2 months ago

Hey fellow planeswalkers! I'm new to the MTG scene here in Singapore and looking for the best local game stores to play at. I've heard about Games Haven and Grey Ogre Games but not sure which one is better for casual and competitive play. Also, what’s the meta like? I’m keen to join some local events too like the Singapore Open. Any recommendations or tips for a newbie? Appreciate any help!

Welcome to the game! Games Haven is super chill, got a nice crowd and they host regular events. Grey Ogre Games also good if you wanna get competitive, but their tournaments a bit more serious lah. As for the meta, it's quite diverse – plenty of aggro decks and control, but I'd say you'll see a lot of Mono-Red in the local scene. Don't forget to check out their Facebook pages for event updates!

Yo! I play at Flagship Games sometimes, their atmosphere is also very nice and friendly. They have a weekly Commander night which is quite happening! Prices for singles are quite reasonable too, you can find some decent cards under SGD 10. The weather's been hot lately, perfect for a nice air-conditioned game sesh. Just bring a bottle of water lah!
