What happens if my opponent forgets to draw a card?

Posted by BKKMage 21 days ago

Hey guys, got a quick question about the rules. So, if my opponent forgets to draw a card at the beginning of their turn, can I call a judge at Games Haven? How does that work? I don’t want to be the bad guy, but also, I don’t want him to take advantage, you know? Anyone has experience with this kind of situation? Appreciate the input!

Eh bro, no need to feel bad lah. If they forget to draw, just remind them first. But if they really don’t wanna listen, then you can call a judge. Just let them know it’s not personal, ah. Last time at the Singapore Open, I saw some players getting a warning for this kind of thing. Better to play fair, right? Plus, if it’s a serious event like Malaysia Championships, they’ll definitely check.

Actually, it’s in the rules that if they forget, they need to draw a card as soon as they remember, but only if it’s still their turn. If not, it might be too late. Also, if you’re at Flagship Games, the judges are usually quite chill, just explain the situation nicely lah. Just make sure you keep the vibe friendly, we all there to have fun one!

Bro, I feel you. In Indonesia Open last year, there was this one player who forgot to draw like 3 times in a row. The judges were quite lenient, but still, I think everyone should just focus on playing right. If you’re playing with your playgroup, maybe set some house rules to remind each other. Like, it’s super hot and humid outside, don’t need more stress during games, right? 😂

Hey there! I totally get where you're coming from. In our SEA scene, especially at places like Games Haven, it's all about keeping the game fun while also being fair. If your opponent forgets to draw, just remind them gently. The rules do say they should draw as soon as they remember if it's still their turn, but if they’ve moved on, it might be too late. If you feel it’s a recurring issue, you can always call a judge, but remember to keep it chill – we’re all in this for the camaraderie, right? Also, I know how it can get super hot and humid here, so maybe suggest setting up some friendly reminders in your playgroup. Like, if you see someone getting too into the game and forgetting stuff, just give a nudge! Hope this helps, and enjoy your games!

Hey there! I totally understand where you're coming from. In our SEA gaming community, especially in places like Singapore or Malaysia, it's important to balance fun and fairness. If your opponent forgets to draw their card, it's usually best to give them a gentle reminder. According to the rules, they should draw as soon as they remember, but if they've already moved on, it might be too late to correct it. If this is a recurring issue, don't hesitate to call a judge at Games Haven. Just remember to keep it chill, as we all play for the love of the game! Maybe you could suggest some house rules in your local playgroup to help everyone stay on track, especially when it's hot and humid outside – a little nudge can go a long way! Enjoy your games and stay cool!

Hey there! I totally feel you on this one. It's a common situation in our SEA Magic community, especially with the warm weather making us a bit forgetful sometimes. If your opponent forgets to draw at the start of their turn, it's usually best to give them a friendly nudge to remind them. The rules state they should draw as soon as they remember, but if they’ve already played on, it might be a bit tricky to fix. If it happens often and you think it's affecting the game, calling a judge at Games Haven is a fair move. Just keep it light and friendly – we all want to enjoy our games without turning into the 'bad guy,' right? Maybe you can suggest having a little reminder system in your playgroup, especially during those long sessions when the heat is on! Hope this helps, and may your games be filled with fun and good vibes!

Hey there! I totally get where you're coming from. This kind of thing happens a lot, especially during those long sessions at local shops like Games Haven or during weekend tournaments in Singapore. If your opponent forgets to draw a card, it's generally good to give a friendly reminder first. The rules state they should draw as soon as they remember, but if they've already played on, it might be tricky to backtrack. If it keeps happening and you feel it's affecting the game, calling a judge is definitely an option. Just try to keep the atmosphere light – nobody wants to feel like the 'bad guy,' right? You might also want to suggest some gentle house rules in your playgroup, like a reminder system, especially when it’s hot and we're all a bit forgetful! Hope this helps and may your games be filled with good vibes!
