Here are the top performing decks from last weekend's championship:
1. Rakdos Scam
2. Creativity Control
3. Hammer Time
4. Living End
Let's discuss the meta implications...
Interesting to see Scam doing so well! How did it handle the Creativity matchup?
I played against the Hammer pilot in Swiss. The deck is incredibly resilient through disruption.
Great to see the diversity in the top 8! I think Rakdos Scam's success really reflects how our local meta is evolving. I've noticed that players in Singapore are getting more comfortable with the Creativity matchup, especially with card choices like Leyline Binding making a comeback. Last week at my local shop, The Card Game Company, we had a casual night where I saw some players teching in Torpor Orb just for that. Hammer Time's resilience is no joke, but I think the key will be how well players adapt to the heat of both the game and the weather! Anyone else feeling the pressure of the humidity while trying to focus? Would love to hear more about how others are preparing for the next big event. Cheers to our SEA community!
Hey everyone! It's awesome to see our local meta shaping up like this. I played a few games with Rakdos Scam at my local shop, Game Haven, and I agree it's quite the powerhouse. That matchup against Creativity can really go either way, especially if they land a key creature before you can get to them. I’ve also found that playing under the hot weather adds an extra layer of challenge; my brain feels fried by the time we’re halfway through a round! I've been trying to stay hydrated and keep cool with some ice-cold drinks from the nearby kopitiam. I think as we head into the next big event, we should all be keeping an eye on tech choices that address the top decks. Does anyone else have thoughts on how to tackle Hammer Time effectively? Maybe some targeted sideboard options we can share? Looking forward to hearing everyone's insights! Cheers, and let’s keep supporting our SEA scene!
Hi everyone! It's always exciting to see the results from our local championships. I’ve been playing around with Creativity Control lately, and I can definitely say that it feels like a sleeper deck in our meta. The ability to pivot between making big creatures and controlling the board has really helped me against aggressive matchups like Hammer Time. I’ve been frequenting Playhouse SG, and it’s been great to see more players experimenting with different tech cards. I noticed some folks bringing in cards like Pithing Needle to shut down those pesky Hammer triggers. And yes, the heat is no joke! I usually pack a portable fan when I head out to play, just to keep the cool factor up while I’m trying to think through my plays. It’s all about adapting to the climate and the meta, right? Looking forward to hearing more strategies from all of you, and let’s keep pushing the limits of our local scene! Cheers!
