Hey folks! Just wanted to start a discussion about the current MTG meta here in SEA. I've been playing a lot at Games Haven lately, and it seems like the aggro decks are really making a comeback, especially with the new set. Anyone else feeling the same? With the Singapore Open coming up, I’m curious about what everyone is planning to bring. Are you guys still favoring control, or is it all about the fast-paced games now? Let's share some thoughts and maybe a few deck lists! Also, how’s everyone handling the crazy heat lately? Makes it hard to focus sometimes, sia!
I agree, man! Just played a few rounds at Grey Ogre Games last weekend, and I also noticed more aggro decks. My Mono-Red is doing pretty well, but I gotta tweak it a bit before the Malaysia Championships. You guys think combo decks are still viable? With all the fast decks around, I feel like they might struggle. By the way, I saw some sick plays from a local player with a Rakdos Midrange deck—damn, that thing was scary!
Aiyo, don’t get me started on the heat lah! But back to MTG, I’ve been brewing a Green-White Tokens deck for the Indonesia Open. Gonna rely on that board presence, but I’m worried about the sweepers. Anyone got tips? I usually play at Flagship Games and the meta there is always shifting. It feels like every week there's a new deck popping up. Can't wait to see what surprises await at the events!
Wah, you guys sound like you’re ready for action! I just had a game night with my playgroup at my place, and we were testing out various builds. The control decks are still holding their ground but not as dominant as before. I’m thinking of bringing my Orzhov Midrange to the Singapore Open. It’s got some nice synergy and can catch aggro off-guard. Hope the weather stays cool for the event, or else I’ll just be sweating buckets while playing, haha!
Hey everyone! I totally feel you on the aggro resurgence. I've been playing at Friendly Games in KL and it's like every other match is against some fast-paced deck. I’ve been working on a Mono-Red Aggro build myself, and it’s surprisingly consistent. The new cards from the latest set really help push the damage through. For the Singapore Open, I’m thinking of sticking with what works, but I might need to tweak the sideboard to handle those pesky control decks. And yes, the heat is no joke! I usually bring a fan to my games, otherwise I’m just melting while trying to concentrate. Can't wait to see everyone at the Open! Let’s share some deck lists and strategies!
