Hey all, just wanted to kick off a discussion on the current meta in SEA! With the Singapore Open coming up, I've been wondering what decks are dominating the scene right now. From what I've seen at Games Haven, control decks seem to be gaining popularity, especially with the rise of cards like The Wandering Emperor. Anyone else noticing this trend? Plus, how are the local playgroups adapting to the shifts? Let's share some insights lah!
Totally agree! I've been playing at Grey Ogre Games and it feels like aggro is making a comeback. My Mono-Red deck has been crushing it against those slower builds. Also, with the Malaysia Championships approaching, I reckon people will start tweaking their decks to deal with aggro better. Weather's hot but the competition hot too! Haha!
Yah, I was at Flagship Games last week and saw a lot of players testing out midrange decks. Seems like the meta is really diverse right now. The Indonesia Open is just around the corner, maybe we’ll see some spicy tech there? Also, can we talk about how the prize support at these events is getting better? Quite decent to see more local shops stepping up!
Haha true! I think it’s all about finding that balance, kan? I’ve been experimenting with a more control-oriented version of my deck, especially with all the aggro around. Btw, has anyone tried playing on any weekend afternoon with the weather? The humidity can be killer, but the games are always worth it! Let’s keep this chat going, guys!
